CHAPTER 318.

AN ACT for the relief of the Commissioners of
Montgomery county.
|

10, 1856.

|
WHEREAS, the sheriff of Montgomery county, col-
lected from the sureties, on the recognizance of
Thomas M. Offutt, by default, have paid into the
treasury, the sum of two thousand dollars; and
whereas, Montgomery county has paid the expen-
ses of said suit, amounting to two hundred and
seventy-one dollars and eleven cents, ($271 11.)

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the State, be
and he is hereby authorised and directed to issue his
warrant to the Treasurer to pay to the order of the
Commissioners of Montgomery county, the sum of
two hundred and seventy-one dollars and eleven
cents, amount of expenses incurred in the prosecu-
tion of the State against Thomas M. Offut.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage

AN ACT for the relief of Aquila Wiles of Harford
county.
|

|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the county commissioners of
Harford county, be and they are hereby authorised to
levy on the assessable property of said county, the
sum of sixty dollars annually, for the use of Aquila
Wiles, an insane pauper, living in said county, so
long as the same may be necessary for his support.
