both chambers for the assembling of the Legislature.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Llew-
ellyn Boyle, or his successor, shall and he is hereby
directed to employ two free white male citizens,
whose pay shall not exceed the sum of thirty-five
dollars each per month, to watch and guard all the
buildings and offices within the State House enclo-
sure from nine o'clock, p. m., until daylight of each
day, and to take charge of and keep in order the
fire apparatus belonging to the State.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Llewel-
lyn Boyle, or his successor, be and he is hereby era-
powered to prepare a system of rules and regulations
for the more effectual security and protection of the
public buildings within the State House circle, and
for the government of the watchman when on duty;
and that it shall be the duty of the watchman when
on duty to execute the same upon penalty of remo-
val from office for neglect of duty.

SEC. 6. And be enacted, That the said appointee
of this Legislature, or his successor, when he shall
enter upon the duties of his office, be and he is here-
by authorised to have the Library repaired and fur-
nished, and have the room adjoining the Court of
Appeals room fitted up as a consultation room for
said court, and that the sum of nine hundred dollars
be and the same is hereby appropriated for said pur-
poses, and that the Treasurer of the State, upon
the warrant of the Comptroller, pay the said sums of
money specified, upon the certificate of Llewellyn
Boyle, or his successor, out of any money not other-
wise appropriated.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That all laws incon-
sistent with or repugnant to the provisions of this
act, be and the same are hereby repealed.
