CHAPTER 302.

AN ACT to give the leave of the Legislature to the
devises and bequests of Ann P. White, late of Wor-
cester county, deceased, for the receipt of Pill's
creek congregation or Presbyterian church, and of
the Methodist Episcopal Church in said county.

10, 1856.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the leave of the Legislature be and
the same is hereby given to the devises and bequests
which are contained in the will of Ann P. White, late
of Worcester county, deceased, expressed in the fol-
lowing words, to wit: "But in case of the death of
my mother during her marriage or wedlock, it is my
will and devise that the said Heath and Flemings
lands be sold to the best advantage, and that one half
of the proceeds of said sale be paid into the hands of
Handy Mills or the elders of Pitt's creek church con-
gregation or Presbyterian church in Worcester county,
and their successors forever, for the support of the
ministers stationed, settled or officiating in said church
or congregation from time to time, and it is my will
and desire that the other half of said proceeds of said
sale be paid into the hands of my cousin George Hud-
son to be applied to the support of the minister or
ministers appointed and officiating at Holland's meet-
ing house, standing near to Levin Atkinson's mills,
in Worcester county, the same belonging to the Meth-
odist Episcopal church, anil to be supplied with min-
isters by said church, and in case of the death of my
cousin George Hudson, and that the benefit of this
bequest may be perpetuated to said Holland's meet-
ing house, it is my will and desire that the stewards of
Snow Hill circuit take charge of said fund and apply
the same to the specific object aforementioned."
