LAWS OF MARYLAND.

sales of goods, merchandise, wares and personal
effects of every kind, exclusive of his real estate
sales and sales of houses, shall not exceed the sum
of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.

Statement on
oath to be sub-
mitted.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That every auctioneer
selling in accordance with the provisions of this act,
shall make under oath to the Comptroller, quarterly
statements showing the full amount of his sales of
every kind, in which he shall distinguish his sales of
goods, merchandise, wares and personal effects of ev-
ery kind, from his sales of real estate and houses; and
if any of the said auctioneers shall sell any amount
exceeding the limits of the sum before named in this
act, he shall be liable and subject to all the penalties
now imposed by law upon auctioneers who shall sell
without a license.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 301.

AN ACT to alter the district line between the first
and second districts of Baltimore county.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, the division line between the first and
second districts have become measurably extinct,
therefore the more fully to establish the same.

Boundaries.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the line henceforth between the
first and second districts of Baltimore county, be and
they are hereby established as follows; beginning at
the Powhattan Cotton Factory, running to the Frank-
lin Turnpike road, and then on the south side of the
Dogwood road to Ben's Run, and then following the
said run to the Patapsco Falls.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act take effect
from the day of its passage.
