AN ACT to increase the capital stock of the St. Ma-
ry's Savings Institution.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the capital stock of the St. Ma-
ry's Savings Institution may be increased from twen-
ty-five thousand dollars, the amount now allowed, to
fifty thousand dollars, subject to the provisions of
the act of assembly incorporating said institution, pas-
sed January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-two,
chapter two hundred and ninety-four.

SEC. 2. And it enacted, That this act shall go in-
to effect from its passage.
CHAPTER 280.

|
AN ACT to provide for the completion of the Court
House and other appropriate buildings in Balti-
more county, and to provide for the payment of
contingent expenses incurred in the erection of
the same, by the commissioners under the act of
eighteen hundred and fifty-four, chapter one hun-
dred and forty-four.
