valuation, if not received when tendered, may be
received at any time thereafter without costs from
the said proprietor or proprietors of said bridge by
the owner or owners, or his, or her or their legal rep-
resentatives.

Management.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the said Richard
Owens Crisp, or any person or persons claiming un-
der him, shall, together with such other persons as
may associate themselves with him or them, shall
have full power and authority to form and create them-
selves into a corporate body, to sell and dispose of
shares in said bridge, property, and tolls, and make
such rules for the government and management there-
of, as a majority of said Company may think proper,
provided the same be not contrary to the provisions of

Proviso.

this act or to the laws of this State; And provided
also, That in case the said Company or proprietors
of said bridge shall suffer the same to go out of re-
pair, or to become unsafe or unfit for the transporta-
tion of passengers, that the said toll shall cease and
not be demanded till the said bridge be repaired; and
the said Company or the proprietor or proprietors of
said bridge shall cause to be set up and kept in some
conspicuous place at each end of said bridge in legi-
ble characters, lists of the rates of toll provided for
by this act.

Conditional.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That if the said bridge
shall not be commenced within eighteen months, and
completed within thirty-six months from the passage
of this act, that then and in that case all the privili-
ges hereby granted shall cease.

Penalty.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, Thai for the safety of
passengers and vehicles passing said bridge, that there
shall be a penalty of fifty dollars for any person or
persons to shoot on the said bridge, one half to go to
the informer, and the other half to the State, and the
said person or persons so offending shall be tried be-
fore any Justice of the Peace of Anne Arundel coun-
ty or Baltimore city.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That if the said Rich-
ard O. Crisp or his representatives or assigns or any
company of proprietors shall suffer the bridge to be
out of repair and remain unsafe or unfit for the trans-
portation of passengers, or vehicles, at any one
time by the space of one year, then and in that
case this act shall cease and determine, and all the
privileges and powers hereby granted shall be null
