lars upon the assessable property of said county to
pay the balance due for building a bridge across
Slaughter Creek from the main land to Taylor's Is-
land in said county, if the County Commissioners or
a majority deem it advisable to do so.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 172.

In force.

AN ACT authorising the Commissioners of Balti-
more county, if they, in their judgment, consider
the claim just and fair, to levy a tax upon the first
election district of said county, as the same was
limited and defined on the first day of May 1833,
for the payment of the debt contracted by the
Commissioners of public schools, under the act
of eighteen hundred and thirty-two, chapter 287.

8, 1856.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Commissioners of Baltimore
county, are hereby authorised, if they, in their judg-
ment, shall consider the claim just and fair, to levy a
tax upon the first election district of said county, as
the same was limited and defined on the first day of
May 1833, to pay the balance of the loan remaining
due, which was negotiated by the Commissioners of
public tree schools in said district, and by virtue of
the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-two, chapter
289.

any tax levied, or which shall be levied for the pur-
pose mentioned in the first section, shall be enforced
in the manner provided for the collection of other
