CHAPTER 165.

AN ACT to refund to Martha Brown and Julianna
Seegar, of Queen Ann's county, certain taxes er-
roneously paid to collectors of taxes in said
county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer be and he is here-
by directed to pay, upon the warrant of the Comp-
troller, the sum of thirty-nine dollars and eleven
cents to Martha T. Brown; and the sum ninety dol-
lars and fifty cents to Julianna Seegar, wife of Benja-
min Seegar, or their order; being the amount paid
by each, in error, to the collectors of Queen Ann's
county as appears from the certificate of the clerk of
the county commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted., That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 166.

In force

AN ACT to authorise Charles S. Middleton, clerk
of the Circuit Court for Prince George's county,
to complete the alphabetical index of land records
in his office, from the first day of January, eigh-
teen hundred and thirty-nine to the first day of De-
cember, eighteen hundred and fifty-five; and the
personal records for the same length of time, which
was left uncompleted by his predecessors; and to
authorise said clerk to keep up and continue the
record of the indices, in the manner and form as
prescribed by law.
