Prince George's county, in the State of Maryland, be
and the same is hereby changed to Edward Marion Cle-
ments, and it shall be lawful for the said Edward Marion
Dant, at all times hereafter to be called and known by,
and hold and use the name of Edward Marion Clements,
and by that name to hold, receive, purchase, sell, con-
vey or devise property, sue or be sued in any court of
law or equity, and do and receive all acts and things by
said name, just as fully as if his name was not changed
by the provisions of this act.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 23.

In force.

AN ACT supplemental to the several acts relating to
the powers and duties of the Board of Primary Edu-
cation of Worcester county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of Primary Education of
Worcester county be and they are hereby authorised and
directed, as soon as convenient after the passage of this
act, to divide said county into five general districts and
appoint one of their body for each district whose duty it
shall be to ascertain and report to said Board, before the
first day of November, eighteen hundred and fifty-six,
the number and names of the children in each school
district, (comprised in said general districts or divis-
ions,) who are proper recipients of the charity school
fund of said county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said reports, when
approved by said Board, shall be the basis for the dis-
tribution of the annual appropriations for the benefit of
the charity scholars of said county, until a new enumer-
ation and distribution shall be made, which shall be done
every sixth year in the manner provided in the first sec-
tion of this act.
