State, or any contract, letters of attorney, or any oth-
er writing, under seal or not, to be used and record-
ed in this State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That every such com-
missioner, before performing any duty, or exercising
any power in virtue of his appointment, shall take
and subscribe an oath or affirmation, before a Judge
or clerk of one of the courts of record of the king-
dom or country in which said commissioner shall re
side, well and faithfully to execute and perform all
the duties of such commissioner, under and by vir-
tue of the laws of the State of Maryland; which
oath and description of his seal of office, together
with his signature thereto, shall be filed in the exec-
utive office of this State.

Shall qualify.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 152.

In force.

AN ACT to authorise the State Treasurer, upon the
warrant of the Comptroller, to pay over to William
F. Frick and Charles Frick, executors of the late
Judge Wm. F. Frick, the salary of the said Judge,
for the quarter ending the first day of October,
eighteen hundred and fifty-five.

Passed Mar.

8, 1856.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the State Treasurer upon the
warrant of the Comptroller, pay over to William F.
Frick and Charles Frick, executors of the late Judge
Frick, who departed this life on the twenty-eighth
day of July, eighteen hundred and fifty-five, the
quarter's salary which would have been due the said
deceased on the first day of October, eighteen hun-
dred and fifty-five.

Treasurer au-
thorised to pay.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
