AN ACT to authorise the Commissioner of the Land
Office to issue a patent for certain land in Baltimore
county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Commissioner of the Land
Office of Maryland be and he is hereby authorised,
directed and required to issue a patent to Jesse Ho-
shal, of Baltimore county, upon a certificate of re-
survey recently returned to the Land Office, called
"Home Secured Corrected," resurveyed for the said
Jesse Hoshal, the eleventh day of December, eighteen
hundred and fifty-five, and containing two hundred
and eighty-nine acres, three roods, and twenty-two
perches of land, without requiring the payment of any
money for composition or improvements thereon, or
any proof of payment of composition thereon; and
provided nevertheless, that nothing herein contained
shall be so construed as to affect any legal or equit-
able right or title of any other person or persons,
acquired before the passage of this act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the right of
the State to the said land and improvements be re-
linquished, any former claim to the said land on be-
half of the State notwithstanding; and for the ser-
vices hereby required to be performed by the said
Commissioner of the Land Office, he shall be entitled
to the compensation allowed by law in similar cases.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect and be in force from the date of its passage.
