LAWS OF MARYLAND.

steamboats, to ply in connection with the said road, to
any other place or places whatsoever, and to contract
with the owner or owners of any steamboat, and any
other railroad or other company, for transportation and
passage to and from the said roads; and when the
final survey of any part of the said road shall be
made by the company's engineer, such survey shall
be recorded in the Recorder's or Clerk's office of the
county where the land surveyed is situated; and the
record thereof shall be evidence of the route and lim-
its of the said road; and the said company are here-
by also authorised to own and run a line of stage
coaches between the points with which said road is
intended to connect, and make such charges for the
transportation of passengers, mails, and other arti-
cles, as the said company may deem advisable.

Reservation.

SEC. 21. And be it enacted, That the Legislature
hereby reserves to itself the right to alter, amend or
repeal this act or any part thereof.

In force.

SEC. 22. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect and have full operation from the day of its
passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Queen Anne's and Kent
Railroad Company.

Commission-
ers appointed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Pere Wilmer, James T. Earle,
John B. Thomas, William H. Jacobs, Stephen J.
Bradley, Samuel S. Harrison, George B. Wescott,
George Vickers, Abel J. Reese, William S. Skeiver,
William F. Smyth and Caleb W. Spry be and they
are hereby appointed Commissioners to do and per-
form the several things hereinafter mentioned, that is
to say: they or a majority of them shall at any time
within two years from the passage of this Act, pro-
cure a sufficient number of suitable books, which
shall be opened, at such time or times and place or
places, as they shall think proper; in each of which
said books shall be made the following entry; we
