CHAPTER 119.

AN ACT for the relief of the sureties on the official
bonds of Thomas H. Osbourn, of Chas., former
collector for the third collection district of Prince
George's county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sureties on the official bonds
of Thomas H. Osbourn of Chas., former collector
for the the third collection district of Prince George's
county, be and they are hereby released from the

interest.

payment of interest on the State's claims against said
Osbourn; Provided, That the amount due for princi-
pal now standing due against said Osbourn, be paid
as follows: one half thereof on or before the first day
of August next, and the residue on or before the first
day of January next, upon the adjustment of said
claims by the Comptroller; Provided however, that
the said sureties shall not be released from the pay-
ment of such interest as they may have collected,
nor from such as may be now due from the tax pay-
ers, nor from the interest on the principal now due,
nor from any costs that have accrued, or may accrue
from the passage of this act.

Proviso.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 120.

In force.

AN ACT entitled, an act to provide for the compen-
sation of Henry W. Archer, for legal services ren-
dered the State, by the appointment of the Gover-
nor, in the prosecution of Robert Swift for the
murder of Jeremiah Kilhour.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer of the State be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to pay Henry
W. Archer, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, the
