cery, and which said land is particularly described
in a deed from the said Roger Perry, trustee to
the said Romulus Riggs, dated on the tenth day of
August eighteen hundred and ten, and duly re-
corded amongst the Land Records of said Allegany
county; And whereas, the said Romulus Riggs
has departed this life, leaving his lust will and tes-
tament duly executed and admitted to probate, by
which all his real estate and property is devised to
his children and devisees therein named, and the
said James W. Bacon was appointed one of his
executors and is now the only surviving and acting
executor of said will; And whereas, no patent has
yet been issued by the State of Maryland for that
certain portion of said tract of land which was
purchased and conveyed by the said Roger Perry,
trustee to the said Romulus Riggs, and described
in said deed, but that the legal title to the same
remains in the State; And whereas, the prayer of
said petition, that the equitable interest shall be
converted into a legal title, and that a patent should
be issued to the said James W. Bacon, the sole
acting executor of Romulus Riggs, deceased, to. ,
hold the said lands and sell the same in trust for
the sole use and benefit of the heirs and devisees of
the said Romulus Riggs, deceased, is founded in
justice and ought to be granted. Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Commissioner of the
Land Office be and he is hereby authorized and re-
quired to issue a warrant of resurvey to the surveyor
of Allegany county, directing him to resurvey and.
lay off that part or portion of a tract of land situated
in said county, called "Western Connection," which
was sold and conveyed by the late Roger Perry, trus-
tee to the said Romulus Riggs, under the authority
of a decree of the Court of Chancery, bearing date
on the twenty-first day of July, in the year eighteen
hundred and seven, which said part of said tract of
land is designated by the report of said trustee, Roger
Perry, and is particularly described by metes and
bounds, courses and distances in the said deed from
the said Roger Perry, trustee to the said Romulus
Riggs, dated on the tenth day of August, eighteen
hundred and ten and duly recorded amongst the land
records of said Allegany county, and containing fif-
teen hundred and eighty-four and one eighth acres,
more or less.
