920                               LAWS OF MARYLAND                        [CH. 561

Dollars ($12,500) in the aggregate and shall be paid to the employee
for the period named in the schedule as follows:

Thumb—for the loss of a thumb,

Eye—for the loss of an eye, [one hundred and sixty] two hundred
weeks.

Hearing—for the total loss of hearing of one ear, [fifty] seventy-
five
weeks; for the total loss of hearing of both ears, [one hundred
and fifty] one hundred and seventy-five weeks.

Septum—for a perforated septum, twenty weeks.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the increased compensa-
tion provided in this Act for certain forms of permanent partial
disability shall not apply to any injury or injuries which occurred
prior to the effective date of this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.
