THE EMPLOYEE'S ESTABLISHED WEEKLY WAGES ARE
LESS THAN FIFTEEN DOLLARS PER WEEK AT THE TIME
OF THE INJURY, IN WHICH EVENT HE SHALL RECEIVE
COMPENSATION EQUAL TO HIS FULL WAGES, BUT NOT TO
EXCEED $7,500. AND SUBJECT TO RECONSIDERATION OF
THE DEGREE OF SUCH IMPAIRMENT BY THE COMMISSION
ON ITS OWN MOTION OR UPON APPLICATION OF ANY
PARTY IN INTEREST.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the increased payments
provided for by this Act shall not be construed to apply to or to be
paid for any permanent total disability occurring prior to the effec-
tive date of this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

(Senate Bill 119)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
35(3) (a) and 35(3) (b) of Article 101 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Workmen's Compensation",
sub-title "Claims and Compensation: Benefits", increasing the
compensation for certain forms of permanent partial disability
under the Workmen's Compensation Laws of this State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 35(3) (a) and 35(3) (b) of Article 101 of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Workmen's Com-
pensation", sub-title "Claims and Compensation: Benefits", be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

35.
(3).

(a). In case of disability partial in character but per-
manent in quality, the compensation shall be sixty-six and two-
thirds per centum of the average weekly wages, in no case to ex-
ceed f Twenty-five Dollars;} Thirty five Dollars per week and not
less than a minimum of Fifteen Dollars per week unless the em-
ployee's established weekly wages are less than Fifteen Dollars per
week at the time of the injury, in which event he shall receive com-
pensation equal to his full wages, but in no case to exceed [Ten
Thousand Dollars ($10,000) ] Twelve Thousand Five Hundred
