money as in their discretion may be proper and necessary to assist
volunteer ambulance units.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Baltimore County, 1948 Edition, title 30 "Welfare",
sub-title "Hospital", said new section to be known as Section 425A,
to follow immediately after Section 425 thereof, and to read as
follows:
425A. The County Commissioners of Baltimore County may in
their discretion levy and appropriate funds to assist volunteer ambu-
lance units in Baltimore County; they may make such agreements as
they may deem advisable or necessary governing the use of any money
appropriated for any such volunteer ambulance units.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

(House Bill 869)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 81 of
Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Charles County," sub-title "County Commissioners,"
as said section was amended by Chapter 650 of the Acts of 1945,
providing that the Clerk to the County Assessor of Charles County
shall act as a transfer clerk and regulating his office hours.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 81 of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Charles County", sub-title "County
Commissioners', as said section was amended by Chapter 650 of the
Acts of 1945, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
81. He shall upon application exhibit the books, papers and levies
in his office and make certified copies or extracts thereof for any
person demanding the same, and charge for the same, for the use
of the county, such fees as are chargeable by the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for similar work, and such copies, under the seal of the County
Commissioners, shall be evidence to the same extent as the originals
would be if produced in proceedings in court or otherwise; all fees
received from this source however, shall be accounted for to the
County Commissioners by the said clerk and treasurer. [He shall
also act as transfer clerk and shall enter on the assessment books
