CHAPTER 73
(House Bill 261)

AN ACT to add Sections 255A to 255GG to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Baltimore County (1948 Edition), being Article 3 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, said new sections to follow
immediately after Section 255 thereof and to be under the new
sub-title 'Title 19A. Personnel Act," establishing a personnel
system for Baltimore County based upon merit principles and re-
lating generally to the creation and operation of such system and
to the rights and duties thereunder of Baltimore County and of its
officials and employees.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 255A to 255GG be and they are hereby added to the
Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County (1948 Edition),
being Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, said
new sections to follow immediately after Section 255 thereof and
to be under the new sub-title "Title 19A. Personnel Act," and all to
read as follows:
