SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Subsection (d) of Section 47 of Article 25 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, (1951 Edition and 1954 Supplement), title
"County Commissioners", sub-title "County Treasurers", be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
47.
(d) The County Treasurer of St. Mary's County shall receive
an annual salary of [$2,800.00] $3,600.00. Beginning June 1, 1955,
the Deputy County Treasurer of St. Mary's County shall receive an
annual salary of $2,00.00 and the incumbent County Treasurer shall
receive, for the duration of his present term only, the sum of $1,000.00
annually for clerical expenses.
SEC. 2. Nothing in this subsection shall affect or change the salary
of the incumbent County Treasurer during his present term.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

AN ACT to add Section 250A to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition), being Article 2 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County,"
sub-title "County Commissioners," sub-heading "Miscellaneous,"
to follow immediately after Section 250 thereof, relating to ad-
ditional compensation for the trial magistrates of Anne Arundel
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition), being Article
2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel
County," sub-title "County Commissioners," sub-heading "Miscel-
laneous," said new section to be known as Section 250A, to follow
immediately after Section 250 thereof, and to read as follows:
250A. Pursuant to Section 103 of Article 52 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1951 Edition, as amended from time to time), the
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County are authorized to
increase the salaries of any or all of the trial magistrates for Anne
Arundel County, and for the remainder of the year 1955 to pay any
