any airplane, sink box or sink boat, or floating device towed by a
power boat or a sail boat for the purpose of hunting wild waterfowl
therefrom; provided, however, it shall be lawful to use sneak boat
or bushwack rig on the Susquehanna Flats and on the waters of the
Elk and Sassafras rivers in Cecil County and on the waters of the
Potomac and Monocacy rivers in Allegany and Frederick Counties
[and], on the waters of the Potomac River in Montgomery and
Washington counties, [.] and on the waters of Chincoteague Bay,
Sinepuxent Bay, Isle of Wight, Assawoman Bay and their respective
tributaries in Worcester County.
It shall be unlawful to use any de-
coy, sneak boat or bushwack rig (or any part thereof) within 500
yards of any stake blind or shore blind in Harford [and], Cecil
or Worcester cpunties. Any gun which cannot be habitually raised
and fired from the shoulder and any gun larger than number ten
gauge or rifle of any description found in the vicinity of the areas
of wildfowl shall be confiscated by any officer of this State and de-
livered to the Director.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 495
(House Bill 496)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1954 Supplement), title "Crimes
and Punishments", sub-title "Cruelty to Animals", said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 87B and to follow immediately after
Section 87A thereof, imposing a penalty for allowing female dogs
in heat to run at large,

OF a female dog while in oestrus or in a condition commonly known
as "in heat" or "in season" to
KNOWINGLY ALLOW THE SAME
TO run at large. Every person violating the provisions of this section
