Dollars ($500.00) per year in addition to the compensation received
when actually sitting as a substitute, as hereinafter provided, and
except the substitute magistrate appointed for Prince George's
County, who shall receive $1,300.00 per year, in addition to the
compensation received when actually sitting as a substitute, as
hereinafter provided, and except the substitute magistrate ap-
pointed from Montgomery County, who shall receive $600.00 per
year in addition to the compensation received when actually sitting
as a substitute as hereafter provided, and except the substitute
magistrate appointed for Cecil County, who shall receive $300.00
per year in addition to the compensation received when actually
sitting as a substitute, as hereinafter provided. And in Wicomico
County said substitute trial magistrate shall receive a salary of
$800.00 yer year.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 53
(Senate Bill 152)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2 of
Article 70 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Official Oaths", sub-title "When and How To Be Taken",
adding the name of the Attorney General to the list of officials
who are to take and subscribe to the oath of office before the
Governor of this State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2 of Article 70 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Official Oaths", sub-title "When and How To
Be Taken", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

2. The secretary of state, the judges of the court of appeals and
their clerk, the attorney general, the state reporter, the state libra-
rian, the adjutant general, the treasurer, comptroller and the com-
missioner of the land office shall take and subscribe the said oath
before the governor and the same shall be preserved in a book to
be kept by the secretary of state.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.
