Last Wills and Testaments of certain persons, deceased, and also
to certain gifts, grants, sales, leases and deeds made by various
persons to and for the use and benefit of sundry ministerial per-
sons, religious corporations, vestries, educational and charitable
institutions, churches, denominations or sects hereinafter named.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sanction and consent of the said General Assembly of
Maryland be and the same is hereby declared, given and granted
to the following gifts, bequests, devises, grants, sales, leases, con-
veyances and deeds, to and from certain persons and bodies corporate
to and for the use of certain ministerial persons, religious and educa-
tional corporations, orders, denominations and sects, and to certain
charitable institutions hereinafter named and hereinafter set forth.
1. To a deed from the Trustees of the Maryland Annual Con-
ference of the Methodist Protestant Church, a body corporate, to the
Trustees of St. Paul's Methodist Church of Baltimore City, a body
corporate, dated May 26, 1948, and recorded among the Land Rec-
ords of Baltimore City in Liber M.L.P. #7470 folio 145, conveying
property located at the southwest corner of Monument Street and
Linwood Avenue, Baltimore City, Maryland, with a frontage on
Monument Street of 60 feet, and a depth on Linwood Avenue of
168 feet.
2. To the devise contained in the Will of Philip B. Lorshbaugh,
deceased, filed for probate May 20, 1941, and recorded among the
Wills Records of Allegany County, in Liber "T", folio 140, in which
was devised a parcel of land in Barton, Allegany County, Maryland,
to the First Presbyterian Church of Barton, Allegany County, Mary-
land, improved by a substantial brick residence property, subject to
a life estate to James H. Dawson, et ux.
3. To the gifts contained in the unrecorded Deed of Trust of
Louis Schloss and Simon Schloss dated December 29, 1938, viz:
a. Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Inc.
b. Oheb Shalom Congregation.
4. To the gifts of income and interests in remainder contained
in the unrecorded Deed of Trust of Louis Schloss and Simon Schloss
dated December 29, 1938, and in the unrecorded Deed of Trust of
Louis Schloss dated April 2, 1943, viz:
a. Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Inc.
b. Associated Jewish Charities of Baltimore.
5. To the deed dated September 17, 1919, and recorded among
the Land Records of Baltimore City in Liber S.C.L. 3446, folio 353
from Caroline B. Craig to Trustees of the Lutheran Church of the
Holy Comforter.
6. To a deed from the Redemptorists, a body corporate, to the
Most Reverend James Gibbons, Roman Catholic Archbishop of
Baltimore, for the time being, and his successors in the Archiepis-
copal See of Baltimore, according to the discipline and government
of the Roman Catholic Church, dated May 23, 1881, and recorded
