surviving him the sum of Fifteen Dollars ($15. 00) per month, to be
paid to the mother, guardian or person actually caring for such
child, until such child reaches the age of eighteen years. The County
Commissioners are directed to levy upon the assessable property
of Baltimore County each year a sum sufficient to make the pay-
ments required hereunder or that may have accrued accounting
from the date of death of such volunteer fireman or volunteer ambu-
lance company member.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

(Senate Bill 69)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 249A of
Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, (1930
Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title "Revenue and Taxes",
said Section having been enacted by Chapter 543 of the Acts of
1941, changing the date of finality in Worcester County and re-
moving from said section an obsolete provision establishing the
fiscal year for Worcester County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 249A of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title
"Revenue and Taxes", said section having been enacted by Chapter
543 of the Acts of 1941, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
249A. The taxable year of Worcester County shall be the
calendar year, [and the fiscal year shall begin on June 1st and shall
end on the next succeeding May 31st; ] and the date of finality as to
assessments shall be [April] January 1st of each year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.
