nile Causes, and prescribing qualifications, salary, duties and
powers of said Judges for Montgomery County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 (f) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1954 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title
"Civil Jurisdiction", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments; that a new section be and it is hereby added to
said Article (1951 Edition), sub-title "Criminal Jurisdiction", to be
known as Section 22A and to follow immediately after Section 22
thereof; that Section 91 of said Article be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to be under the new sub-title
"Judge for Juvenile Causes in Montgomery* County"; that two new
sections be and they are hereby added to said Article, sub-title "Trial
Magistrates System", to be known as Section 92A and 92B and to
follow immediately after Section 92 thereof; that Section 100, Sub-
section (Montgomery County.) of said Article and sub-title be and
it is hereby repealed, and that a new Section 100, Sub-section
(Montgomery County.), be and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof;
that Section 111 (a) of said Article and sub-title be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments; that anew sub-section
be and it is hereby added to said section, Article and sub-title, to be
known as Sub-section 111 (e) and to follow immediately after Sub-
section 111 (d) thereof; that Section 112 of said Article and sub-
title be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
and that a new section be and it is hereby added to said Article and
sub-title, to be known as Section 117 and to follow immediately after
Section 116 thereof, all to read as follows:

ARTICLE 52

JUSTICES OF THE PEACE
Civil Jurisdiction

6. (f) Five hundred dollars in certain other counties.—Trial
magistrates of Dorchester County, Montgomery County and Talbot
County shall have civil jurisdiction in all cases hereinbefore men-
tioned in this section, instituted after June 1, 1953, and involving
amounts not exceeding five hundred dollars. Provided, however,
that in Montgomery County the jurisdiction specified shall be applic-
able to the Judges of the People's Court of Montgomery County.

Criminal Jurisdiction

22 A. (People's Court of Montgomery County.) The Judges of
the People's Court of Montgomery County shall have criminal juris-
diction in all cases hereinbefore conferred upon Trial Magistrates
for Montgomery County in this sub-title; and in Montgomery County
the offices of Trial Magistrates shall hereafter be designated as either
Judge of the People's Court or as Judge for Juvenile Causes, as the
case may be.

91. (a) The Judge for Juvenile Causes of the People's Court of
