up a budget each year showing the estimated expenditures of his
office for clerical help, supplies and equipment, and other necessary
office expenses, subject to the approval of the County Commissioners.
The County Commissioners of Prince George's County are authorized
and directed to levy each year such sums of money necessary to carry
on the work of the Treasurer's Office as approved by them in the
budget. All monies payable to the Treasurer of Prince George's
County for the collection of taxes and assessments, and fees, in-
cluding the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission and the
Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission shall here-
after be paid to the County Commissioners of Prince George's County.
494. The [Collector, the Disbursing Officer, the Assessor, the
Transfer Officer, the Deputy Collector, the Deputy Disbursing Of-
ficer] Deputy Treasurer, employees and clerks in the office of the
County Treasurer shall furnish bond in such sums as the Treasurer
shall direct conditioned upon the faithful performance of their duty
and the County Commissioners shall pay the premium on said bond.
508. All bonds, notes, certificates of indebtedness, or negotiable
instruments issued on behalf of Prince George's County shall be

SIGNED by the President, and ATTESTED
BY THE Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners. All checks
may be signed by either the Treasurer of Prince George's County, or
his authorized agent.
509. The Treasurer shall record the new owner's name in the
transfer of all real property from one owner to another within seven
working days upon receipt of official notice from the Transfer Office,
and, all subsequent tax billings, tax sales, etc., shall be in the name
of the new owner.
510. The Treasurer of Prince George's County may negotiate a
contract with any incorporated municipality within Prince George's
County to act as the collecting agency for that municipality in collect-
ing town, or municipal taxes, and special assessments, such taxes and
assessments to be placed on the regular county tax rolls and county
tax bills, such taxes to become a part of the total tax bill, and to be
collected in the same manner as County and State taxes are now
collected. Said contract shall be in writing, executed by the municipal
officials empowered to execute contracts, the Treasurer of Prince
George's County and a majority of the Board of County Commission-
ers. The monetary charge for such services is to be stated in the con-
tract, as agreed upon by the signers of the contract, and shall be paid
to the Treasurer of Prince George's County, said fees or charges to
be applied to the operating expense of the Treasurer's Office. The
Treasurer shall remit any money collected under the contract to the
municipality monthly. The municipality shall furnish the Treasurer
of Prince George's County any, and all, figures and information that
the Treasurer shall request, need, or require, or the contract shall
become null and void.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall in no wise
impair or discharge the official bond of the Treasurer of Prince
