George's County now holding office or that of the Treasurer-elect, but
the rights conferred and duties imposed mentioned herein shall apply
to the Treasurer-elect and to the Treasurer now holding office as
herein provided.

SEC. 3. (Separability.) If any section or part of section of this
Act shall be held invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such
holding shall not affect the remainder of this Act nor the context in
which such section or part of section so held invalid shall appear,
except to the extent that an entire section or part of section may be
inseparably connected in meaning and effect with the section or part
of section to which such holding shall directly apply.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the change in duties of the
Treasurer of Prince George's County which are provided for in this
Act shall not apply to the Treasurer who is in office at the time this
law is enacted. The said changes in duties shall be effective only as
to the Treasurer of Prince George's County who becomes such next
after this law is enacted.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby de-
clared to be an emergency law and necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health and safety, and having been passed
by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all of the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 133
(House Bill 334)

AN ACT to add four new sections to the Anne Arundel County Code
(1947 Edition), being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Fire Com-
panies", said new sections to be known as Sections 332-I-332L,
inclusive, and to follow immediately after Section 332H of said
Article, as amended by Chapter 362 of the Acts of 1951, relating
to the levy of a special fire tax in the fourth precinct of the Fifth
Election District of Anne Arundel County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That four new sections be and they are hereby added to the Anne
Arundel County Code (1947 Edition), being Article 2 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County", sub-
title "Fire Companies", said new sections to be known as Sections
332-1 - 332L, inclusive, and to follow immediately after Section 332H
of said Article, and all to read as follows:
