SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1955.

AN ACT to add new Section 1601A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Washington Suburban Sanitary District", to
follow immediately after Section 1601 thereof, and to add new
Section 130-60A to the Montgomery County Code (1950 Edition,
being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland)
title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Washington Suburban
Sanitary District", to follow immediately after Section 130-60
thereof, amending the laws of the Washington Suburban Sanitary
District to provide for public hearings in advance of any proposed
rate change determined by the District AND RELATING ALSO
TO THE PUBLISHED NOTICES CONCERNING SUCH RATES,
CHARGES, LEVIES OR ASSESSMENTS.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland
That new Section 1601A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953 Edition, being
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Prince George's County", sub-title "Washington Suburban Sanitary
District", to follow immediately after Section 1601 thereof, and that
new Section 130-60A be and it is hereby added to the Montgomery
County Code (1950 Edition, being Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery County", sub-title
"Washington Suburban Sanitary District", to follow immediately
after Section 130-60 thereof, and all to read as follows:
1601 A. (130-60A). Whenever the Commission shall, in the exercise
of its powers under this sub-title to establish rates, charges, levies
or assessments for its services, determine that any modification of an
existing rate, charge, levy or assessment previously established by
the Commission shall be necessary or desirable, the Commission shall
promptly thereafter give notice

proposed modification, SUCH NOTICE TO BE GIVEN PROMPTLY
IN AT LEAST ONE NEWSPAPER PRINTED AND PUBLISHED
IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY AND ONE NEWSPAPER PRINT-
ED AND PUBLISHED IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY; and
