(House Bill 140)

AN ACT to add Section 1562A to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1953 Edition) (being also Article 17 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Washington Suburban Sanitary District",
said new section to follow immediately after Section 1562 thereof,
and to add Section 130-19A to the Montgomery County Code (1953
Supplement) (being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Washington
Suburban Sanitary District", said new section to follow immedi-
ately after Section 130-19 thereof, amending the laws of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary District to provide for an annual
budget with hearings thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 1562A be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953 Edition), (being Arti-
cle 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince
George's County", sub-title "Washington Suburban Sanitary Dis-
trict", said new section to follow immediately after Section 1562
thereof, and that Section 130-19A be and it is hereby added to the
Montgomery County Code (1953 Supplement) (being Article 16 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery
County", sub-title "Washington Suburban Sanitary District", said
new section to follow immediately after Section 130-19 thereof, and
all to read as follows:

1562A (130-19A). THE COMMISSION SHALL PRIOR TO THE
1ST OF NOVEMBER OF EACH YEAR CAUSE TO BE PREPARED
AN OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE SUCCEEDING CALENDAR
YEAR AND SAID BUDGET SHALL BE OPEN FOR INSPECTION
TO THE PUBLIC AND COPIES THEREOF SHALL BE MADE
AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC UPON REQUEST. THE COMMIS-
SION IS HEREBY EXPRESSLY DIRECTED TO HOLD IN THE
MONTH OF DECEMBER OF EACH YEAR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED BUDGET AFTER GIVING AT LEAST
THIRTY DAYS NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING BY PUBLICATION
IN AT LEAST ONE NEWSPAPER PRINTED AND PUBLISHED
