AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 24 (k) of
Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Clerks of Courts," sub-title "General Duties of Clerks,"
AS SAID SECTION WAS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 36 OF
THE ACTS OF 1955, relating to the salary of the Clerk of the
Circuit Court of Baltimore County; TO REPEAL AND RE-
ENACT, WITH AMENDMENTS, SECTION 24(K-1) OF SAID
ARTICLE AND SUB-TITLE AND TO ADD SECTION 24(K-2)
THERETO, TO foLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SAID SEC-
TION 24(K-1), RELATING TO THE SALARY OF THE CLERK
OF THE CIRCUIT COURT OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 24 (k) of Article 17 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition), title "Clerks of Courts," sub-title "General
Duties of Clerks", AS SAID SECTION WAS AMENDED BY CHAP-
TER 36 OF THE ACTS OF 1955, be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

24. (K) THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT OF BALTI-
MORE COUNTY SHALL BE ENTITLED TO RECEIVE AN
ANNUAL SALARY OF $9,000.
SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT SECTION
24(K-1) OF ARTICLE 17 OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF
MARYLAND (1951 EDITION), TITLE "CLERKS OF COURTS",
SUB-TITLE "GENERAL DUTIES OF CLERKS", BE AND IT IS
HEREBY REPEALED AND RE-ENACTED, WITH AMEND-
MENTS, AND THAT A NEW SECTION BE AND IT IS HEREBY
ADDED TO SAID ARTICLE, TO foLLOW IMMEDIATELY
AFTER SECTION 24(K-1) THEREOF, TO BE KNOWN AS SEC-
TION 24(K-2), AND ALL TO READ AS foLLOWS:
24(K-1). THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT OF WASH-
INGTON COUNTY SHALL BE ENTITLED TO RECEIVE AN
ANNUAL SALARY OF $6,000.
