organization and the creation and assignment of work to members of
said Committee. Said Committee shall proceed to assemble informa-
tion on the industrial potentialities of Prince George's County and
shall formulate a program directed toward an effective industrial
development plan designed to improve the County's economy, con-
sistent with harmonious and orderly growth. The Committee shall
after the formulation of such a program, disseminate pertinent in-
formation to appropriate sources, with a view of encouraging and
promoting industries to locate in Prince George's County; and be it
further
Resolved that said Committee shall collaborate and coordinate its
activities with the Prince George's Chamber of Commerce, the Wash-
ington Board of Trade, the Service Clubs in said County, the Wash-
ington Suburban Sanitary Commission, The Maryland-National Capi-
tal Park and Planning Commission, the Board of County Commis-
sioners, and any other organizations and agencies; and be it further
Resolved that said Committee shall report to the Board of County
Commissioners by December 1st of each year during its term, said
reports to contain results of said Committee's investigation, study and
efforts to attract new industry into the County and any pertinent
recommendations; and be it further
Resolved, that the County Commissioners of Prince George's
County be and they are hereby requested to appropriate and make
available to said Committee such sums as the County Commissioners
may feel necessary for carrying out the provisions of this resolution.

Joint Resolution requesting the County Commissioners of Harford
County to appoint a Committee of citizens to study and promote
the industrial potentialities of said County, and providing for an
appropriation for certain expenses.
WHEREAS, the great residential growth of Harford County in re-
cent years has not been balanced by a corresponding industrial
development; and
WHEREAS, in order to increase the basis for taxation, provide job
opportunities for citizens and stimulate commerce, new industries
must be encouraged to locate in Harford County; and
WHEREAS, Harford County is strategically located in a market area
whose potential is unlimited, with two major railroads and two major
