Attorney shall receive $400.00 per annum for expenses. In addition
thereto, the State's Attorney is hereby authorized and empowered to
appoint a stenographer, who shall perform such stenographic and
clerical duties as he or she may be directed by said State's Attorney
to perform, and who shall receive a salary, in the discretion of the
County Commissioners of said County, not exceeding [three] four
Thousand Dollars [($3,000.00)] ($4,000.00) per annum.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

(House Bill 878)
AN ACT to add a new section TWO NEW SECTIONS to Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-title "Restrictions Upon Licenses", said new sec-
tion SECTIONS to be known as Section 118A AND SECTION
118B and to follow immediately after Section 118 thereof, requiring
a manufacturer or wholesaler to sell beer to a retail dealer in
DORCHESTER AND Frederick County COUNTIES on a cash
basis only.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEM-
BLY OF MARYLAND, THAT TWO NEW SECTIONS BE AND
THEY ARE HEREBY ADDED TO ARTICLE 2B OF THE ANNO-
TATED CODE OF MARYLAND (1951 EDITION), TITLE "ALCO-
HOLIC BEVERAGES", SUB-TITLE "RESTRICTIONS UPON
LICENSES", SAID NEW SECTIONS TO BE KNOWN AS SEC-
TION 118A AND SECTION 118B, TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY
AFTER SECTION 118 THEREOF AND TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
118A. (DORCHESTER COUNTY.) IN DORCHESTER COUN-
TY, NO MANUFACTURER OR WHOLESALER SHALL SELL
ANY BEER TO ANY RETAIL DEALER EXCEPT FOR CASH
ON DELIVERY. NO SUIT OR ACTION EX CONTRACTU TO
ENFORCE OR COLLECT ANY CLAIM FOR CREDIT EXTENDED
IN VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION SHALL BE MAINTAINED
IN THIS STATE.
