ARTICLE SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY OF $500.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 119-5a
of the Montgomery County Code (1950 Edition), being Article 16
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery
County", sub-title "Chevy Chase—Section 4", reducing the amount
of tax which may be levied or collected by the Citizens Committee
of Chevy Chase—Section 4.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 119-5a of the Montgomery County Code (1950 Edition),
being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Montgomery County", sub-title "Chevy Chase—Section 4", be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
119-5.
a. The County Council is hereby authorized, empowered and
directed to levy and cause to be collected from the owners of real
property in Chevy Chase—Section 4 at the time of the county levy
beginning July 1, 1950 and for each tax year thereafter, a tax on the
assessed valuation of the real property within said described area in
