CHAPTER 682
(House Bill 698)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 299 to 303, inclusive, of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition), being Article
2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title ''Anne
Arundel County", sub-title "Election Districts", and to add Sec-
tions 299 to 303C in lieu thereof, said new sections to stand in the
place and stead of the sections so repealed and to be under the sub-
title "Election Districts", completely revising the statutory de-
scriptions of the several election districts of Anne Arundel County
and relating generally to such districts, PROVIDING THAT
NOTHING HEREIN SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO AFFECT
THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS AS DE-
SCRIBED IN CHAPTER 569 OF THE ACTS OF THE GEN-
ERAL ASSEMBLY OF 1951 OR AS DESCRIBED FROM TIME
TO TIME IN THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF ANNAPOLIS,
AND THAT NOTHING HEREIN SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO
AFFECT THE RIGHT OF ANY PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORA-
TION TO CONTINUE TO HOLD A LICENSE OR PERMIT
WHICH WAS HELD ON JUNE 1, 1955, AND THE HOLDING
OF WHICH IS BASED IN ANY MANNER UPON THE BOUND-
ARIES OF THE ELECTION DISTRICTS OF ANNE ARUNDEL
COUNTY, AND REPEALING ALL LAWS INCONSISTENT
WITH THIS LATTER PROVISION TO THE EXTENT OF SUCH
INCONSISTENCY.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 299 to 303, inclusive, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition), being Article 2 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County",
sub-title "Election Districts", be and they are hereby repealed, and
that Sections 299 to 303C be and they are hereby added to said
Article in lieu thereof to stand in the place and stead of the sections
so repealed, to be under the sub-title "Election Districts", and to read
as follows:

299. (Description of District One.) Beginning for the same at a
point in a line drawn from the easternmost tip of Thomas Point to the
easternmost tip of Saunders Point distant 0.85 mile, S. W. of Thomas
Point, said point being where the center of the Mouth of South River
enters the Chesapeake Bay and running from thence and at right
angles to the Boundary line between Anne Arundel and Queen Anne
Counties, in an easterly direction, in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay,
approximately 2.65 miles to said county line; thence with the same
in a southwesterly direction 2.9 miles; thence leaving the county line
and running in a northwesterly direction approximately 4.0 miles to a
point in a line drawn between Dutchmans Point and Curtis Point
approximately 0.6 miles from Dutchmans Point; thence leaving the
Chesapeake Bay and running in a southwesterly direction with the
