ized by this Act to be acquired by the said Commission within the
Maryland-Washington Regional District.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That except as otherwise pro-
vided herein, all Acts or parts of Acts or laws and parts of laws in~
consistent herewith or contrary hereto are hereby repealed to extent
of such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be effective
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 681
(House Bill 686)

AN ACT to add Section 250 (k-2) to Article 93 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1954 Supplement), title
"Testamentary Law,' sub-title "Orphans Court," to follow immedi-
ately after Section 250 (k-1) thereof, providing a pension for the
widow of every elected judge of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore
City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 250 (k-2) be and it is hereby added to Article 93 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1954 Supple-
ment) , title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Orphans Court", to fol-
low immediately after Section 250 (k-1) thereof, and to read as
follows:

250.

(k-2) The widow of every elected judge of the Orphans Court of
the City of Baltimore shall be paid one-half of the pension to which
her husband was entitled at the time of his death, or would have
become entitled to by reason of attaining sixty years of age or retire-
ment after attaining sixty years of age. In each instance, the pen-
sion shall be paid to the widow until her remarriage or death. The
provisions of this section shall not apply in the case of a widow who
was married to a sitting judge for a period of less than three years
prior.to his death, and to a retired judge for a period less than three
years before his retirement.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.
