IFICATION TO, AN ADDITIONAL OR EXISTING BUILDING
OR FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND UPON WHICH AN AD-
DITIONAL BUILDING MAY BE CONSTRUCTED OR OTHER
PUBLIC SERVICES OR FACILITIES MAY BE PROVIDED AT
UPPER MARLBORO OR ELSEWHERE IN PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That in order to carry out the
purposes of this Act as defined in Section 2 above, the County Com-
missioners may employ such architectural, engineering or technical
assistance as may be necessary or desirable to assist in the develop-
ment and completion of the construction of the projects defined OR
MENTIONED in said Section 2, the costs of any such architecture,
engineering or technical services to be payable from the proceeds of
the sale of the bonds hereby authorized.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on the first day of June, 1955.

(House Bill 670)

AN ACT to authorize the Maryland-National Capital Park and Plan-
ning Commission to acquire lands for park purposes outside the
Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District in Montgomery
County but within the Maryland-Washington Regional District
IN SAID MONTGOMERY COUNTY when such acquisitions are
necessary to preserve the Commission's regional park plan IN
SAID COUNTY.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission
created by Chapter 448 of the Laws of Maryland of 1927 as amended
be and it is hereby authorized to acquire lands for park purposes out-
side the Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District in Montgomery
County but within the Maryland-Washington Regional District in
those counties MONTGOMERY COUNTY if the Commission shall
find within the exercise of its discretion that such acquisitions are
necessary to preserve any portion of the Commission's regional park
plan IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY which is a part of the Commis-
sion's general plan for the physical development of the said Mary-
land-Washington Regional District. The Commission is authorized
to expend any funds which under the provisions of the Maryland-
Washington Metropolitan District Act are authorized to be expended
for park acquisitions in Montgomery County within the Maryland-
Washington Metropolitan District, for the purchase of lands author-
