To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, CLAUDE B. HELLMANN, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF

MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 210 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition) DO
HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Election held in LaVale, Allegany
County, Maryland, on June 18, 1957, an Act known as Chapter 228
of the Acts of 1957, was submitted to the voters of LaVale, Allegany
County, Maryland, for their adoption or rejection under the provi-
sions of Chapter 228 of the Acts of 1957, said Act being as follows:

"An Act authorizing and empowering the LaVale Zoning Dis-
trict, to adopt a comprehensive plan of zoning rules, regula-
tions and restrictions affecting the erection, extension and
use of land and buildings in part of LaVale, Election District
No. 29 and relating generally thereto; and creating the said
Board and generally describing its membership, tenure, powers,
duties and responsibilities".

AND I DO CERTIFY, that at said election held in LaVale, Allegany
County, Maryland, 452 votes were cast in favor of the adoption of
Chapter 228 of the Acts of 1957 and 208 votes were cast against the
adoption of said Chapter 228 of the Acts of 1957; and a majority of
the votes beng cast in favor of the adoption of said Chapter 228 of
the Acts of 1957, the said Act has been ratified by the voters of
LaVale, Allegany County, Maryland.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official seal at the City of
