To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, CLAUDE B. HELLMANN, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 210 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition) DO
HEREBY CERTIFY, That at a Special Election held in the 4th Election
District of Prince George's County, September 23, 1957, an Act
known as Chapter 686 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1957, was submitted to the voters of the 4th Election District
of Prince George's County, for their adoption or rejection under the
provisions of Chapter 686 of the Acts of 1957, said Act being as
follows:
"That before any tax shall be levied under the provisions of this
Act in the Fifteenth (Mellwood), Fourth (Nottingham) and
the Second precinct of the Fourteenth Election District
(Bowie) of Prince George's County, a special election be held
in each of said Election Districts or precincts on or before
October 15, 1957, so that the voters of each of said respective
Election Districts or precincts shall be able to designate his
or her decision for or against said fire tax".
AND I DO CERTIFY, that at said election held in the 4th Election
District of Prince George's County, 18 votes were cast in favor of
the adoption of Chapter 686 of the Acts of 1957 and 6 votes were
cast against the adoption thereof, and a majority of the votes
being cast in favor of the adoption of said Chapter 686 of the Acts
of 1957, the said Act has been ratified by the voters of the 4th Elec-
tion District of Prince George's County, Maryland.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official seal at the City of
