CHAPTER 81
(House Bill 70)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sub-section (41)
of Section 12 of Article 36 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Fees of Officers", sub-title "Clerks of Court",
increasing the commission to be paid to the Clerk of the Court of
Common Pleas for receiving, collecting and paying over public
money.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That sub-section (41) of Section 12 of Article 36 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Fees of Officers", sub-title
"Clerks of Court", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
12.
(41) For receiving, collecting and paying over all public money—
5% except the [clerk of the Court of Common Pleas and the] clerk of
the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, who shall receive 3%
commission.
SEC.2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1958.

CHAPTER 82
(House Bill 73)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendment, Section 5 of
Chapter 98 of the Acts of 1956, said Act being the General Con-
struction Loan of 1956 enacted at the 1956 Session of the General
Assembly and being amended to remove the contingency imposed
by the terms of that Chapter which has to occur before appropria-
tions can be paid to the Military Department for the construction
of armories to be located in the Dundalk-Essex area and at Cumber-
land.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 5 of Chapter 98 of the Acts of 1956 be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
5. That the actual cash proceeds of the sale of the Certificates of
Indebtedness to be issued under this Act shall be paid to the Treas-
urer of the State upon the warrant of the Comptroller and such pro-
ceeds shall be used exclusively for the following purposes, to wit:
