CHAPTER 60
(Senate Bill 125)
AN ACT to add Section 488A to Article 66C of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title
"Mining", sub-heading "In General", providing that the Director
of the Bureau of Mines shall be deemed an appointed official
within the meaning of Section 11 of Article 73B of the Code, and
any amendments thereto, and shall be treated as such for all pur-
poses of Article 73B*; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EXPIRA-
TION OF THIS ACT.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 488A be and is hereby added to Article 66C of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources",
sub-title "Mining", sub-heading "In General", and to read as follows:
488A. The Director of the Bureau of Mines shall be deemed an
appointed official within the meaning of Section 11 of Article 73B
of this Code, and any amendments thereto, and shall be treated as
such for all purposes of said Article 7SB.
SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THIS ACT
SHALL EXPIRE AUTOMATICALLY AND WITH NO FURTHER
ACTION REQUIRED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON JUNE
1, 1960.
Sec 2. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1958.

(Senate Bill 130)
AN ACT to add Section 88 (d) to Article 78 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Public Service Commission
Law", sub-title "Procedure Before Commission", imposing an
annual filing fee upon every public service company within the
regulatory jurisdiction of the Public Service Commission and relat-
ing generally to the imposition and collection of such fee.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 88 (d) be and it is hereby added to Article 78 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Public Service
Commission Law", sub-title "Procedure Before Commission", to read
as follows:
