truly apply so much money arising therefrom, within
sixty days after the drawing of the said lottery be
completed, as will satisfy the fortunate adventurers
for prizes drawn by them, and shall within six
months after the drawing of the said lottery is com-
pleted, apply the money raised by such lottery, for
the purpose of building a Carpenter's Hall, in the
city of Baltimore.

1812.

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be
the duty of the said, managers, before they act as such,
to lodge the bond entered into as aforesaid, in the
office of the clerk of Baltimore county court, there
to be recorded, and upon such bond or any office co-
py thereof, suit or suits may be instituted against the
obligors therein, or any of them, or their legal repre-
sentatives, for any breach or non-compliance with the
conditions of the same.

3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said man-
agers be, and they or any person or persons appoint-
ed by them, are hereby authorised to dispose of and
sell all or any of the tickets of said lottery, in the city
of Baltimore, or any part of this State, exclusive of
any control over the same by the corporation of the
city of Baltimore, any law or usage to the contrary
notwithstanding.


CHAPTER 70.

Disposition
of tickets.

An act authorising and empowering the levy court of
Anne-Arundel county to assess and levy a sum of
money for the support and maintenance of Ezekiel
Waters.

Passed Dec.
15, 1812.

BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the levy court of Anne-Arundel
county be, and they are hereby directed and empow-
ered at their levy court annually, to assess and levy
en the assessable property of said county, a sum of
money not exceeding thirty dollars, for the support
and maintenance of the said Ezekiel Waters; and
that the same be collected annually by the collector
or collectors of Anne-Arundel county, and paid to the
said Ezekiel Waters, or to his order.

CHAPTER 71.

A sum may
be levied for
his mainte-
nance.

An act authorising a lottery to raise a sum of money
for opening a road from Western Port on George's
Creek, to Savage River, in Allegany county.
