No. 23.
RESOLVED, That John Brewer, Esquire, be, and he is hereby au-
thorised and empowered to sell and dispose of the several copies of
Chancellor Kilty's Report of British Statutes as remain unsold, toge-
ther with the copy right, for such sum as the same Will command, and
after deducting his commission, to pay the balance over to the treasurer
of the Western Shore.

No. 24.
RESOLVED, That Col. William Richardson, appointed treasurer of
the Eastern Shore of Maryland be, and he is hereby required, before
he proceeds to execute the duties of his said office, to give bond to the
state in the penalty of twenty thousand dollars, with at least two secu-
rities, to be approved of by the governor and council, for the due and
faithful performance and discharge of all the duties of him required as
treasurer.
RESOLVED, That William Chambers, Esquire, late treasurer of the
Eastern Shore of Maryland, is hereby required forthwith to deliver
unto Col. William Richardson of Caroline County, the present trea-
surer for the Eastern Shore of Maryland, all money in the treasury,
books of accounts and other papers appertaining to said treasury.

No. 25.
RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is
hereby directed to pay to Jesse Thompson, late a serjeant in the Mary-
land line during the revolutionary war, or to his order, a sum of money
annually, in quarterly payments, equal to the half pay of a sergeant,
as a further remuneration for those services rendered his country dur-
ing the American war.

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is
hereby directed to pay unto Hugh Lynch, late a private in the Mary-
land line during the revolutionary war, or to his order, a sum of mo-
ney annually, in quarterly payments, equal to the half pay of a pri-
vate, as a further remuneration for those services rendered his country
during the American war.

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is
hereby directed and required to pay to Charles Williams, late a private
in the revolutionary war, in the Maryland line, or to his order, annual-
ly in quarterly payments, a sum of money equal to the half pay of a
private; and likewise, is hereby directed and required to pay to Jesse
Bullock, late a private in the revolutionary war, in the Maryland line,
or to his order, annually, in quarterly payments,, a sum of money equal
to the half pay of a private, as a further remuneration to them for those
services by which their country has been so essentially benefited.

RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Corne-
lius Mills, sergeant at arms of the house of delegates, the sum of
sixty dollars, and to Henry Thompson, messenger to the senate, the
sum of fifty dollars, as a compensation for their services, in taking
care of the Furniture of their respective rooms in the recess of the gene-
mi assembly.
