SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the acknowledgments of both of
said deeds, be, and they are hereby ratified and made
valid to all intents and purposes, as if such acknowledg-
ments had been made in conformity to all and every of
the laws regulating the acknowledgments of deeds
within the State of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all title or titles
claimed under or by virtue or either or both, of said
deeds, be, and it or they are hereby made valid, as if
such deeds and acknowledgments were in all respects
regular and executed in strict accordance to the laws
aforesaid.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 85.

In force.

AN ACT to incorporate a company to erect a Bridge
over the Patuxent River, between Anne Arundel and
Prince George's counties,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That William B. Hill, John F. Lee
and Richard S. Hill of Prince George's county, and
such citizens of this State, as may be associated with
them, be, and they are hereby made a body politic and
corporate by the name of the Woodland Bridge Com-
pany, and as such may sue and be sued, implead and
be impleaded, and have perpetual succession for the
purpose of erecting a toll bridge over the Patuxent
river, between Anne Arundel and Prince George's
counties, at or near Woodland, Prince George's county,
and above Bristol in Anne Arundel county, and mak-

ing causeways and roads thereto; the capital of which
company shall not exceed fifteen thousand dollars to be
divided into one hundred and fifty shares of one hun-
dred dollars each.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the persons above
named or any two of them shall have power to open
books for subscriptions to said stock at such time and
place and on such notice as they may deem proper, and
