CHAPTER 83.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to pay William
Glover, for services rendered during the repairs of the
Senate Chamber.

Authority to
pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the treasurer, be, and he is hereby
authorised to pay, on the warrant of the comptroller, to
William Glover fifty dollars, for services rendered in
superintending the repairs of the senate chamber, made
under an order of the senate at December session,
eighteen hundred and forty-nine, and that the sum of
fifty dollars is hereby appropriated for that purpose.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 84.

AN ACT to make valid two deeds, one from George
Moore and wife, to David Burnite, and the other from
Margery H. Williams to William Robinson.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, on the twenty-eighth day of March, in the
year eighteen hundred and thirty. seven, a certain
George Moore and wife, executed their deed to
David Burnite, purporting to convey to said Bur-
nite, a certain tract or parcel of land, lying in Cecil
county, and therein particularly described, and which
said deed was regularly recorded in Liner J. S. num-
ber thirty-nine, folio one hundred and four; &c., one
of the Land Record Books of said county; and
whereas, the same tract or parcel of land was after-
wards conveyed by a certain Margery H. Williams,
to one William Robinson, by her deed dated the first
day of June, in the year eighteen hundred and fifty,
and recorded in Liber R. C. H. number two, folio
five hundred and one, &c., another of said Land
Record Books; and whereas, doubts are entertained
as to the title of the aforesaid land by reason of cer-
tain defects in the acknowledgments of the said
deeds; Therefore,
