AN ACT to pay John O. Wharton, of Washington coun-
ty, certain taxes erroneously paid by him.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the treasurer be and he is hereby
directed to pay on the warrant of the comptroller, to
John O. Wharton, of Washington county, the sum of
thirty-four dollars and thirty-seven cents, being the
amount of State taxes erroneously paid by him, and
the sum of thirty-four dollars and thirty-seven cents be
and the same is hereby appropriated for that purpose.

AN ACT to provide for a new Great Seal for this State.
|

Authority to
procure new
seal.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Governor be and he is hereby
authorised and required to procure a new great seal for
this State, the cost of which shall be paid on a certifi-
cate of the Governor by the treasurer, on a warrant
from the comptroller.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the seal to be pro-
cured shall contain on its face the arms of the State, as
heretofore known and accepted, with the motto, in
