CHAPTER 66.

AN ACT to allow Henry Hopkins, free negro of the
State of Missouri to return to this State.
|
|
|
Liberty to
return.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, Henry
Hopkins, free negro of the State of Missouri may and
is hereby at liberty to return to this State; Provided,
|
|
|
Proviso.
|
That he pay to the agent of the colonization society of
Maryland, the sum of ten dollars, and thereafter be
entitled to the same rights and privileges as the free
colored population are now entitled to under the laws
of this State.

AN ACT to authorise the Judge of the second judicial
circuit of Maryland to accept the bonds of William H.
Worthington, clerk of the circuit court for Howard
county, and Nathaniel Duke, clerk of the circuit court
for Calvert county.

Authority to
approve bonds.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the judge of the second judicial circuit be, and
he is hereby authorised and empowered to approve the
bonds of William H. Worthington, clerk of the circuit
court for Howard county, and Nathaniel Duke, cleric
of the circuit court for Calvert county, and when so
approved and recorded, they shall have the same force
and effect in law, and for the same period as if the said
bonds had been executed approved and recorded ac-
cording to law, at the time prescribed by law.
