SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the provisions of
this act shall extend, to, and embrace all decrees and
decretal orders, passed by said court on the equity side
thereof.

CHAPTER 65.

Provisions of
act — what to
embrace.

AN ACT to amend an act to incorporate the Knoxville
and Middletown Road company, passed January ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and fifty-three.

Feb. 24, 1854.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That when one-tenth or more of the
stock of the said road shall have been subscribed in the
manner in said original act provided for, the said com-
missioners or a majority of them in said act appointed,
shall proceed to organize the said company in the
manner in the fourth section of said original act set forth
and specified.

Organization.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the road, the con-
struction of which is provided for in the eleventh sec-
tion of the said original act, shall not be less than fifty,
nor more than sixty feet in width, between fences; and
the said company shall, if they think proper, cause said
ground to be so graded, that they may have on one side
a country or summer road, and on the other side an ar-
tificial road of stone or gravel or plank, in the manner
and form in said eleventh section set forth and specified.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That as soon as the said
company by its president and managers, have perfected
the said road in compliance with the original act, for any
distance from its southern terminus, not less than two
miles, and so on from time to time, any other like dis-
tance progressing, they shall proceed to give notice to
the Governor to erect their toll-gates according to the
direction in the thirteenth section of said original act
particularly specified.
