27. An act appropriating a sum of money therein mentioned, to
repay to Messrs. Baring, Brothers and Company, money advanced
by them on account of the State of Maryland.

28. An act to fix the per diem of jurors serving in the courts of
the city of Baltimore.

29. An act to compensate William Cooke and George D.
Tewksbury, for contracting for, and superintending the repairs of
a tobacco warehouse.

30. An act to refund to Caspar Mantz, late sheriff of Frederick
county, the amount of tax upon his second commission.

31. An act to authorise the Trustees of the Bethel Presbyterian
Church, in Harford county, to acquire and hold real estate therein
mentioned.

Thelin.

33. An act for repairing the government house enclosure, and
out-buildings, and for the purchase of Furniture.

34. An act to confirm an ordinance of the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, entitled an ordinance to aid the Baltimore
and Ohio Rail Road company, by a loan to the amount of five
millions of dollars, to complete their road to the city of Wheeling,
to fund their debts, and especially to lay a second track as far us
Piedmont, two bundled and eighteen miles distant from the city
of Baltimore, and to confer upon said Mayor and City Council,
and upon the Commissioners of Finance and the Register of said
city, the powers necessary for carrying into effect the provisions of
said ordinance.

35. An act to increase the corporate powers heretofore granted
to the Patapsco company, by the act passed at January session, eigh-
teen hundred and fifty-three, chapter one bundled and thirty-seven,
entitled an act to incorporate the Patapsco company, by authorising
the said company to make a rail road and establish a line of
boats.

36. An act to incorporate St. Mary's Institute, near Bryantown,
in Charles county.

37. An act to suspend the operation for a limited period, of the
sixth section of the act, entitled an act to provide for the election
of road supervisors in the several counties of this State, passed at
the session of eighteen hundred and fifty-three, in the counties
therein mentioned.

38. An act to authorise the trustees of primary school district,
number thirty-three, of the first election district of Queen Anne's
county, in their discretion, to sell and dispose of the old school
house formerly in primary school district, number one, in first
