SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said George
Stokes, the only surviving grantee in said deed, now
resident in the State of Maryland, be, and he is hereby
authorised and empowered, to convey the said property
to the regularly and legally incorporated Trustees of
said Church, and their successors forever, to and for the
use and purposes aforesaid.

AN ACT to authorise Ellen Connel of Frederick coun-
ty, to acquire, hold, dispose of and transmit real pro-
perty in this State.

WHEREAS, Ellen Connel, a native of Ireland, but for
the last thirty years a resident of the United States,
though not a naturalized citizen thereof, has pur-
chased and obtained a deed for certain real estate in
this State, and desires to be clothed with the legal
right to acquire, hold and dispose of real property in
this State as fully as the citizens thereof; Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the said Ellen Connel, be, and
she is hereby authorised and empowered to acquire,
hold, dispose of and transmit by way of inheritance,
real property in this State, as fully as any of the citi-
zens thereof.
