any retailer or retailers of spirituous, fermented or malt
liquors in the town of East Newmarket, it shall and
may be lawful for a majority of the commissioners
aforesaid, in town meeting assembled, to cancel or with-
draw any such license in the same manner as the
judges of the several county courts are now authorised
to do.
|

|
Penalty.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That if any retailer or
retailers of any spirituous, fermented or malt liquors
shall continue to retail as aforesaid, after the cancella-
tion or withdrawal of their licenses, then the said retailer
or retailers shall be subject to the same penalties as are
now imposed by law on individuals for selling without
license.

AN ACT to regulate the sale and purchase of stone
coal in Washington county.
|
|
|
To be sold by
weight.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, it shall not
be lawful to sell or purchase stone coal in Washington
county by measure, but all stone coal sold and pur-
chased in said county shall be sold and purchased by
weight, at the rate of twenty-two hundred and forty
pounds, avoirdupois, to the ton.
