LAWS OF MARYLAND.

and the treasurer, upon the warrant of the comptroller,
is hereby directed to pay the said sum of money to
Mary Green, on her order, and annually hereafter, from
the first day of January, eighteen hundred and fifty-
four, also to pay to the said Mary Green the sum of
sixty dollars during life.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 256.

Mar. 10, 1854.

AN ACT to lay out and establish a new election dis-
trict in Dorchester county, to be called district num-
ber eleven, or Drawbridge.

New district
established.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a new election district be, and the
same is hereby established in Dorchester county, out of
part of the third election district, in said county, to be
called end known as Drawbridge district, or number
eleven.

Boundaries.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the boundaries of
said new election district shall be as follows, to wit:
beginning at the bridge over Transquaking river, a lit-
tle below Higgins' mills, thence running with the
county road by Middletown, or Manning's road, to the
drawbridge over Chicmacomico river, at Manning's
store, then with and up said river until it comes to a
point or place on said liver opposite to the road running
to Nanticoke river, known as the Hard or Craft's road,
then with with a straight line to said Hard road, then
funning with said Hard or Craft's road to the Nanti-
coke river to the public landing, a little south of Vick-
ers' wharf, then down the said river so as to include all
the islands belonging in the third election district, then
to the mouth of Transquaking river, then up the said
river to the place of beginning.
